Braces

Advances in technology have allowed orthodontists to offer a variety of options to straighten teeth. Traditional metal braces are still the most common choice, but clear braces, such as ClarityTM tooth-colored braces and Invisalign clear aligners are growing in popularity among teenagers and adults hoping to obtain straighter teeth a little less noticeably.

Metal Braces

Metal braces are the most common orthodontic treatment choice. They are made of high-grade stainless steel and, over time, have gotten smaller, more comfortable, and more attractive. Traditional braces will require patients to schedule routine appointments so Dr. Hutto can make adjustments and ensure they are performing correctly. Patients will also be allowed to choose from a wide variety of colored bands to allow the patient to add a little personality to the straightening process. Even many adults use colors.

Clarity Braces

ClarityTM Metal-Reinforced Ceramic Braces allow patients to achieve straighter smiles with a little more subtlety thanks to their clear appearance. Clarity braces are made by 3M, from a hard ceramic material that blends with the color of your teeth, making them significantly less conspicuous than traditional metal braces. Clarity braces are also just as durable as metal braces, and they won’t stain or discolor. It’s “clear” why so many patients are electing to straighten their teeth with Clarity braces.

Invisalign Aligners

The Invisalign® system utilizes a series of customized, clear plastic aligners that gradually realign the teeth. The Invisalign system is available to adult orthodontic patients and teenage orthodontic patients who seek to straighten their teeth invisibly.
